Description
Iko Round is a character from the light novel and anime series Kunon the Sorcerer Can See, where she serves as the personal maid to the protagonist, Kunon Gurion. Her role is established early in the story when Kunon's parents assign her to care for him as he copes with his blindness, a condition known as the Hero's Scar.

Iko is characterized by an energetic, cheerful, and eccentric personality that stands in stark contrast to the initially somber atmosphere surrounding her young master. She is openly affectionate and doting toward Kunon, frequently smothering him with attention and praise for his dedication to mastering magic. Viewers have noted that her exuberant demeanor injects a sense of comedy into the series, with her antics ranging from endearingly supportive to unexpectedly odd. Despite her role as a servant, she does not hesitate to offer personal advice, famously instructing Kunon to be a gentleman around all women, a lesson that sometimes leads to awkward or flirtatious situations with other female characters.

One of Iko's most defining personal traits is a strong attachment to money, as she frequently requests raises and is very aware of her financial compensation. This quirky greed is balanced by a genuine loyalty and fondness for Kunon; she is described as being very happy when he emerges from his depression and throws herself into supporting his goals. Her behavior can occasionally be possessive or cross boundaries, leading to comments that are described as suspicious or inappropriate, yet her position in the household remains secure due to the plot's need for her to act as Kunon's caretaker.

In terms of physical appearance, Iko is depicted as a young woman with long brown hair that reaches her waist and green eyes. Her standard attire is a maid's uniform, which typically includes a dress and apron, often accessorized with a headdress.

Within the narrative, Iko's primary function is to act as a steadfast support system for Kunon as he pursues his ambitious goal of using water magic to create artificial eyes for himself. She remains a constant presence in his household, witnessing his rapid growth and his transition from a depressed boy to a motivated sorcerer. However, her role as his personal attendant is not permanent. As Kunon moves on to enroll in the Magic Academy, Iko departs from the story to get married, at which point her sister, Rinko, takes over her duties as the new maid. This departure marks a significant transition in Kunon's life, symbolizing his move away from his home and toward independence.

Iko does not possess magical abilities like the sorcerers in the series, nor does she wield any notable combat skills. Her value lies entirely in her domestic service and emotional support. Her most notable ability is her persistence and unconventional methods of caregiving, using her eccentric charm to keep Kunon's spirits high and push him toward interacting with the world, even when her advice is questionable.
