Description
Lumitea is an angel-type Dears and one of the central characters from the Arcanadea series. She possesses a gentle and kind-hearted nature, carrying a calm and slightly airheaded atmosphere around her. Despite this tranquil demeanor, she is bright and candid, which causes her expressions to shift frequently and openly based on her emotions. One of her most distinctive personality traits is the way she reacts to her favorite foods; when presented with a beloved dish, she becomes noticeably more talkative and openly delighted, to the point of temporarily losing her composed character. This endearing inconsistency adds a layer of charm to her otherwise serene disposition.
As a novice Dears, Lumitea is still learning to control her magical abilities and is not yet fully accustomed to manipulating magical energy. Her primary motivation is her mission to collect Arcana, a task she remembers clearly even though her past memories remain hazy and fragmented. She does not dwell on this uncertainty with distress; instead, she maintains a forward-looking and optimistic attitude, believing that she will gradually recover her lost memories through her interactions with her Master and through the events that unfold around the Arcana.
In terms of role within the story, Lumitea serves as a Dears, a type of being designed to engage with and support her Master. Her key relationships revolve around her Master and the other Dears such as Velretta and Yukumo, with whom she is often depicted in promotional material sharing everyday moments like tea time. As the story progresses, her development is tied to mastering her nascent magical abilities and piecing together her fragmented past, all while carrying out her mission.
Lumitea is equipped with the ability to transform between a Normal Mode for non-combat situations and a Wilize Mode for combat, achieved by reconfiguring specific parts of her form. In battle, she wields a sword and a scabbard as her primary weapons. A visually defining feature is her large wings, which are designed both for aesthetic appeal and functional poseability. These wings connect to her body via magic-circle-shaped joints that provide stability and a wide range of motion, allowing for organic and attractive poses during action or rest. Her design also incorporates armor parts on the upper arms and knees that can be repositioned using joints, and she is frequently depicted in a praying pose, reflecting her angelic motif.
