Description
Police Braver is the police robot that serves as one of the central hero units in Tomica Heroes Jobraver: Tokusō Gattai Robo. In practical terms, Police Braver is the combined form of Wapper, a police Jobroid whose assigned job is to protect the city. In the world of the anime, Jobroids are android workers managed through the SOFIA system, and after a string of incidents caused by runaway Jobroids, the Braver Project was launched to let Jobroids combine with specially equipped working vehicles and handle emergencies. Wapper is the police unit of this project, and by performing a special combination with the Nissan GT-R patrol car, he becomes Police Braver.

As a character, Wapper is defined by a strong sense of duty and a straightforward, earnest attitude toward his work. His role is to protect the city, and he approaches that responsibility with seriousness and determination. His main motivation is public safety: he responds to incidents ranging from vehicle runaways to attacks by hostile robots, and he wants to stop those who threaten order. This sense of justice runs throughout the story and is especially visible in his personal commitment to the main antagonist, Joker Braver. After Joker, a powerful enemy robot who once plotted world domination, escapes from where he was held, Wapper vows to arrest him again, making the conflict personal for Police Braver and giving him a clear long-term goal.

In the story, Police Braver is the first of the Braver units to appear and functions as the leading police presence in the team. He routinely takes charge of response missions, chases down runaway vehicles, and deals with the rampaging robots that emerge as the plot unfolds. He frequently works alongside the other emergency units, particularly Fire Braver and Medi Braver, during joint operations, and he also forms cooperative combination modes with them when the situation demands extra power. Beyond these alliances, his history with Joker makes him the character most directly tied to the series' larger conflict, and his encounters with figures such as the rival Ace bring additional focus to his development.

Throughout the series, Police Braver grows through a series of upgrades and alternate forms. The base Police Braver is built from the Nissan GT-R patrol car, but later versions combine with other vehicles and support equipment. These include Police Braver Zero, a black undercover variant using a GT-R undercover patrol car and a black motorcycle; Rising Police Braver, which combines with the Deka Ride Armor white motorcycle, itself capable of switching between a buddy mode and a ride mode; and Gigant Police Braver, a heavier form created with the KOBAN armor and a Nissan Fairlady Z patrol car. Additional variants such as Police Braver Eternal and Police Braver NULL expand this lineup further, with the Gigant Police Braver Eternal representing one of his most powerful late appearances. This progression reflects his increasing responsibility and the growing scale of the threats he faces.

Police Braver's notable abilities are tied to his police role. He has high-speed pursuit capability drawn from his patrol car components, allowing him to chase down fast-moving targets and respond quickly to emergencies. For enforcement, he is equipped with handcuff-style and gun-style weapons, and his GJ Deka Arms can be switched between multiple modes, including a saber form, a revolver form, and a mode called Good Job. The Deka Ride Armor adds motorcycle-based support and makes Rising Police Braver possible, while the KOBAN armor grants the defensive power of the Gigant form. His black undercover variants provide stealth-oriented options, and his cooperative combination abilities allow him to merge with the other emergency Bravers into union forms for combined operations. He also gains a partner in the police dog Wanwan Maru, whose design connects to the Deka Ride Armor's buddy mode, reinforcing the teamwork side of his character.

Overall, Police Braver stands as the determined, duty-driven police hero of the show, one whose abilities expand steadily as he confronts escalating threats and whose personal mission ties directly to the story's central conflict with Joker.
