Shotaro Uzawa
Description
Shotaro Uzawa is a Japanese voice actor and actor affiliated with the agency 81 Produce, born on January 22, 1997. He began his career in entertainment as a child actor, working with the children's theatre troupe Nihon Jido and appearing in television commercials and Japanese-language dubs for foreign works.
Uzawa's early work in anime included a role in the 2009 video game Final Fantasy XIII as Dajh Katzroy and his first major anime film role as Kiyoshi Satō in the 2010 film Welcome to the Space Show. Following this, he continued his career and officially joined 81 Produce in April 2018 to focus on voice acting. In 2022, he was cast in several prominent roles that raised his profile, including Chūshaku Kometani in the second season of the popular Netflix anime Komi Can't Communicate and Police Braver in the Tomica Heroes Jobraver web anime series.
A significant milestone in his career came in August 2022 when he was announced as the voice of the main character, Win Kirifuda, in the Duel Masters Win television anime. He has since reprised this role across multiple installments of the franchise, including Duel Masters Win: Duel Wars, Duel Masters LOST Tsuioku no Suishō, and Duel Masters LOST ~Gekka no Shinigami~. In 2023, he starred as Tenshi "Danbocchi" Dei in the original television anime Kawagoe Boys Sing.
Beyond anime, Uzawa has also performed in stage productions. In December 2020, he appeared as Ushimitsu in the stage play With by Idol Time PriPara. He also voiced the role of Ushimitsu in the animated project King of Prism -Your Endless Call- Miinna Kirameki! Prism☆Tours.
In recognition of his growing body of work and impact in the industry, Uzawa was awarded the Best Rookie Actor award at the 19th Seiyu Awards in 2025. He has also received the 1st Bowler Project Jury Special Award in 2010.
