Description
Mogul is a recurring antagonist in The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers, depicted as a six-armed sorcerer who is apparently the last of his kind. His background is that of a mysterious and ancient being with a deep knowledge of sorcery, and he is driven by a constant search for starstones, rare and powerful crystals that he uses to augment his magical abilities. His personality is characterized by a ruthless ambition and a cunning intellect, yet he is often hindered by his own incompetence and that of his assistant, a dwarf named Larry, whose bumbling nature frequently undermines Mogul’s plans. Mogul’s primary motivation is the accumulation of power through the acquisition of starstones, which he believes will elevate his magical strength and compensate for his status as the last survivor of his race. In the story, he serves as a dangerous but occasionally comedic foe for the Galaxy Rangers, appearing in episodes where his quest for starstones brings him into conflict with the heroes. His key relationships include his loyal but ineffective assistant Larry, and a former apprentice named Nimrod, a rogue sorcerer who learned from Mogul before breaking away to pursue his own schemes, leading to occasional friction between the two. Mogul’s character shows little development over the series, remaining consistent as a persistent, power-hungry menace whose reliance on starstones defines his role. His notable abilities include a wide range of sorcerous powers, likely amplified by the starstones he collects, as well as his unusual physical form—six arms that allow him to perform multiple magical gestures simultaneously.
