Description
Moegi is a supporting character in Shiboyugi: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table. She is a veteran participant in the death games, driven by a fierce desire to become what she herself calls a great veteran player, and she is willing to take actions that others might find unpleasant or unattractive if those actions help her reach that goal. Her background is marked by a troubled home life; she blames her ruined circumstances on a childhood spent always obeying her parents and being a good girl. This resentment fuels a deep admiration for the assassin Kyara, whose unrestrained, self-indulgent violence represents a complete rejection of the limits that Moegi once accepted. Kyara’s refusal to hold back awakens in Moegi a twisted form of longing and the resolve to pursue strength at all costs. She becomes Kyara’s sole disciple and later commands a group known as the Kirikabu squad. As a professional player, Moegi is obsessive about becoming stronger and has no hesitation when it comes to betraying allies if that is what it takes to secure victory. She serves as one of the viewpoint characters in the Candle Woods arc, the second half of the first volume, sharing narrative focus with the protagonist Yuki Sorimachi. Her personality is defined by pragmatism and a relentless ambition, and her growth involves shedding the obedience of her past in favor of a ruthless, self-directed path. Moegi’s notable abilities stem from her training under Kyara, though the exact nature of her combat or strategic skills is not widely detailed in available sources. In terms of appearance, she is a teenage girl with medium-length green hair and purple eyes. Her role in the story is that of a determined rival and a darker reflection of what players can become when they embrace the brutal logic of the death games without moral hesitation.
