Description
Chronoa is the god of space and time and serves as the divine source of power for the main character, Scarlet El Vandimion. His blessing, granted to Scarlet from the time she was a fetus, allows her to wield formidable magical abilities that define her role in the story. As a deity, Chronoa operates under a significant limitation, as gods are not permitted to intervene directly in the affairs of the human world. This restriction explains his reliance on a mortal champion like Scarlet to carry out his will and address conflicts that fall within his divine domain.
Chronoa's motivations are closely tied to correcting the consequences of divine jealousy. The central conflict of the narrative is driven by the goddess Palmia, who harbors a bitter grudge because Chronoa did not devote his undivided attention to her. In her wrath, Palmia empowers her own followers, such as the shaman Terenesia, to steal the divine blessings he bestowed upon other women, including the saint Diana. Chronoa ultimately chooses Scarlet to be his favored champion, tasking her with putting an end to Palmia's rampage and recovering the power stolen from Diana, the other saint of Pallistan.
When Scarlet collapses into a coma from overusing his blessing, Chronoa appears before her soul to renew her power. During this encounter, he also creates a sacred artifact known as the Pocket Watch of the God of Time and Space. This item allows its wearer to stand before the priestess of the goddess Farmia to reclaim lost saintly powers. Chronoa plays a direct role in the story's resolution when Terenesia is defeated. He intervenes not to destroy her outright, but to ensure a punishment befitting her crimes. Chronoa traps Terenesia in an endless loop of pain from the fatal blow and seals her away forever in a gap within time and space from which she can never escape.
Chronoa’s most significant relationship is with Scarlet, whom he regards as a powerful and effective agent of his will. He also has a connection to Saint Diana, another recipient of his blessing, as well as a contentious relationship with the goddess Palmia, whose jealousy is the catalyst for the story's main conflict. Notable abilities include granting the power of chronokinesis, which manifests in Scarlet as spells like Acceleration that allow her to perform feats such as the Flash Step. He also demonstrates the ability to create artifacts, reverse the effects of magical theft, and manipulate space-time itself for the purpose of eternal imprisonment. Late in the narrative, Chronoa exercises his authority as a god by removing his blessing from Scarlet as a consequence for her unknowingly making a pact with a demon, though this action does little to diminish her fighting prowess.
