Description
Lewis Gaudi is a bounty hunter operating in the dystopian world of Virgin Punk: Clockwork Girl, set in the year 2099 where Somadea technology allows humans to replace limbs or transfer their brains into android bodies, and the police rely on bounty hunters to eliminate criminals who illegally modify themselves with weaponized implants. Lewis comes from a background of street brawling, having spent his youth in physical fights. His life changed when he was recruited by Mr. Elegance, the proprietor of the bounty hunter group ARCHIMEDEATH, and he joined the organization. He embraced bounty hunting as his true calling, finding a sense of purpose and direction in the violent profession.

In terms of personality, Lewis is characterized by a combative nature, shaped by his history of brawling. He approaches his work with conviction, seeing killing or capturing criminals as a meaningful outlet for his skills. His motivations appear tied to the legitimacy and structure that bounty hunting provides him, rather than any particular moral crusade or desire for wealth. He operates as a regular human without any Somadea enhancements, relying on his physical prowess and training.

Within the story, Lewis plays a supporting role as a fellow bounty hunter. He attempts to confront the Somadea-enhanced serial killer Tommy J during a citywide rampage, but finds himself outmatched due to his lack of cybernetic enhancements. His failed confrontation highlights the power gap between unaugmented humans and heavily modified criminals, and it sets the stage for the protagonist Ubu Kamigori to defeat Tommy J with her newly acquired Somadea body. Lewis thus serves as a benchmark for the dangers that regular humans face in this world, and his inability to succeed emphasizes the necessity of Ubu’s transformation.

Lewis is connected to the organization ARCHIMEDEATH and by extension to Mr. Elegance, who oversees the group. His relationship with other bounty hunters such as Ubu and Maggie is that of colleagues in a competitive and lethal trade, though the film does not explore deep personal bonds. His character development is limited within the 35-minute first installment; he remains a secondary figure whose primary narrative function is to demonstrate the limitations of a normal human in a cyberpunk society. His notable abilities are grounded in his fighting experience, but he has no special technological advantages, which defines both his role and his limitations.
