Born on June 25, 1993, in Seattle, Washington, he began his career in the mid-2010s, quickly establishing himself as a prolific and versatile talent in the industry. He is frequently affiliated with major dubbing studios such as Crunchyroll (formerly Funimation), Bang Zoom! Entertainment, and Studiopolis.

Mills' entry into notable roles began with his first lead part as Jyugo in the series Nanbaka in 2016. A pivotal moment in his career came with his involvement in Dragon Ball Super, where he initially served as an understudy for Christopher Ayres, voicing the iconic villain Frieza. Following Ayres' passing in 2021, Mills fully assumed the role, voicing Frieza in subsequent projects like Dragon Ball FighterZ and Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.
