Description
Dubs, a master craftsman of the Giant Clan, specializes in forging potent weapons and artifacts. He bears blue hair and amber eyes, typically clad in a brown apron over a cyan-and-white neck hoodie with white pants. His personality is serious and calm, showing little interest beyond his craft. He takes immense pride in his work, reacting fiercely to damage inflicted on his creations, and exhibits perfectionism in all tasks—even discarding food over minor timing flaws. Three thousand years ago, at Merlin’s request, he forged the Coffin of Eternal Darkness to seal the Demon Clan as part of her plan to revive Chaos.
In *The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light*, Dubs and Dahlia receive the Breath of Bless from the Supreme Deity. Empowered, they assault the Demon Realm, slaughtering demons and replacing the environment with an ominous light. During the conflict, Dubs captures Meliodas and Elizabeth using his Staff of Imprisonment, exploiting his control over his own creations—including Meliodas’ Lostvayne. He battles Zeldris with weapons like the Reaper’s Scythe and Flying Saucer, though both are destroyed. After Zeldris defeats him using Ominous Nebula, the Supreme Deity’s influence fades. Dubs later appears at Meliodas and Elizabeth’s wedding.
Sixteen years post-Holy War in *Four Knights of the Apocalypse*, Dubs resurfaces as a cook in Camelot under Kay Pendragon, operating under the alias "Dubby" while concealing his legendary blacksmith identity. When the Percival Platoon visits, he reluctantly agrees to forge weapons for them after learning of Lancelot’s interest, hoping for an introduction. He crafts personalized armaments: Mirage Stinger for Anghalhad, Bipolar Gloves for Nasiens, Guard Oldman for Donny, and Force Circular for Percival. To test these covertly, he uses the Wonder Hood—a tool that alters his size—to enter the Annwfyn Gladiator Festival as "Mystery Package". He battles Donny and later Percival, revealing his identity after recognition. Captured by Camelot knights, Gowther frees him using illusion magic, and Dubs collaborates to investigate Chaos-linked threats.
His abilities revolve around crafting and remotely controlling weapons like the Reaper’s Scythe, Flying Saucer, Staff of Imprisonment, and Scamp Boy, while nullifying their magic if wielded against him. As a giant, he wields significant physical strength, evident in combat against formidable foes. His equipment includes the Wonder Hood for size manipulation. Post-redemption, he continues crafting, maintaining cross-faction connections while balancing his roles as blacksmith and cook.
