Description
Dottor Adatara is a resident of the City and a figure of considerable local mystery and influence. An elderly man, his appearance is distinguished by a bald head, a prominent nose, and a thick white mustache, often seen wearing a traditional blue kimono. Despite his advanced age, which is over one hundred years old, he remains highly active and maintains the sharp mind of a retired scientist.
His personality is a complex blend of high intelligence, deep-seated stubbornness, and a distinct streak of misfortune. The Doctor is an exceptionally cautious and meticulous individual, prone to carrying out his plans in a methodical, if somewhat obsessive, manner. He holds a particular grudge against the Makabe family, and his primary motivation is to make life difficult for Tsurubishi Makabe, whom he sees as the source of a long-running personal feud of pranks and retaliation. Although he can be kind and helpful to the City's residents in times of need, he is often unlucky, and his own elaborate schemes have a tendency to backfire on him, making him something of a family punching bag.
