Description
Honoka Hara is a supporting character who attends the same middle school as the main cast, initially as a classmate in class 2-3 before moving to a different class later on. For a significant portion of the story, she is known only by her family name, Hara, with her given name, Honoka, being officially revealed in a special illustration collection attached to the sixth volume of the manga.

In terms of appearance, Honoka has a fuller figure that distinguishes her from many of her peers, along with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. She is often depicted in her school uniform and is a member of the school's art club, where she has developed a notable talent for drawing and sketching.

Honoka has a warm, kind, and soft-spoken personality, making her very approachable and easy to get along with. Despite her gentle demeanor, she is also described as no-nonsense and will quickly speak up to address behavior she considers out of line, often working to maintain peace among her friends. She possesses a good deal of empathy and emotional intelligence, and she is known to be attentive to the changing moods of those around her. Honoka shares a common weakness for sweets with Anna Yamada, but this enjoyment is often complicated by her own personal concerns regarding her weight and body image.

These personal insecurities are a core part of her character's motivations. She frequently worries about her figure, and this creates internal conflict in her romantic life. While she is flattered by the attention she receives from Kenta Kanzaki, she struggles to accept his overbearing and frequently voiced admiration for her appearance, as it clashes with her own desire to lose weight.

Honoka plays a supportive role within the story's social circle, primarily as a mutual friend to both Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada. She is one of the few classmates who speaks happily with Ichikawa, even when others avoid him. In a notable early incident, she worked with Ichikawa on a poster for a haunted house attraction. When a drawing she made on a tombstone, featuring the name Yamada, led to the class mistakenly believing Ichikawa wished harm on Anna, Honoka immediately took responsibility and clarified that it was a common name, not a specific reference. Observing the special connection growing between Ichikawa and Yamada, Honoka becomes a perceptive and discreet supporter of their relationship, wishing for them to date and choosing not to intrude on their privacy. She also shares a close friendship with Anna Yamada. While she admires Yamada's career as a model, she is also bemused by how Yamada can consume so many sweets and remain slender, a sharp contrast to her own concerns. The two friends often talk about their interest in love and dating.

Her most significant personal relationship is with Kenta Kanzaki, a boy who develops a strong interest in her. Kanzaki is open in his admiration and frequently showers her with compliments, a behavior she finds difficult to handle. This has led to an unofficial relationship between them that is otherwise stable, though Honoka harbors conflicting feelings about his apparent preference for her fuller figure while she herself wishes to be thinner. She tends to keep him at a friendly distance, hesitant to provide a definitive answer to his advances.

Throughout the story, Honoka shows development in her growing confidence, primarily in her social interactions. She transitions from being a somewhat background classmate to becoming a more integral member of the friend group, proactively inviting Ichikawa and Yamada to events like White Day. Her ability to support her friends' relationship while navigating her own complicated feelings shows a significant degree of emotional maturity for her age. Outside of her artistic abilities with drawing, her most notable skill is her emotional perception, as she is often the first to notice the subtle dynamics and unspoken feelings between other characters.
