Description
Crocell Kerori is a first-year student at Babyls Demon School and a member of the Abnormal Class, the same class as Iruma Suzuki. She was born into the prestigious Crocell family, a lineage of demons renowned for their powerful ice-based magic. Despite her noble heritage, Kerori possesses notably weak magical power, which caused her to fall short of her family's expectations from a young age, leading to a deep sense of inadequacy and low self-esteem.

A pivotal realization during her childhood changed her path. She noticed that strangers would treat her with unusual kindness and give her gifts, drawn not by her magical ability but by her naturally cute appearance. After witnessing a performance by demon idols, or akudols, shown to her by her grandmother, Kerori decided to leverage her charm rather than her magic to prove her worth and gain the recognition she craved from her family, particularly her mother. This decision led her to live a carefully managed double life.

At school, Kerori presents a meek, polite, and timid facade. In this guise, she has blueish-white bob-cut hair, small black horns, and wears large, round spectacles. These glasses are enchanted to suppress her natural charisma and disguise her true identity, allowing her to blend in as an unassuming student. Her personality in this form is soft-spoken, kind, and non-confrontational, often appearing nervous or shy to avoid drawing attention.

Her alternate identity is that of Kuromu, a wildly popular and top-ranking student akudol. As an idol, Kerori is bold, outspoken, and confident, with a diva-like presence on stage. She wears a vibrant violet and gold wig with curled horns, elaborate costumes, and no glasses. This persona is driven by a desire to bring joy to her fans and be the center of attention, directly contrasting her school demeanor. Managing the rigorous demands of schoolwork and a burgeoning idol career causes her significant stress, but her professional dedication is immense.

As a member of the Crocell family, Kerori wields their bloodline magic, Ice Façade. This ability allows her to manipulate the temperature of water and the air, generating ice for offense, defense, or utility. However, overusing this power can cause her to overheat and develop a high fever, sometimes leading to unconsciousness. During the Harvest Festival, she underwent special training with her classmate Caim Kamui under the guidance of Mister Hat. This training helped her develop a new skill called Immense Beauty or Queen Mode, which allows her to project a commanding and regal beauty that can enthrall both demons and magical beasts. The training culminated in her gaining the ability to summon two powerful ice-element familiars simultaneously: the Blizzard Wolf and the Snow Fox King.

Kerori's role in the story is closely tied to her classmates. Initially, she felt jealous of Iruma Suzuki because his exploits frequently overshadowed her idol Kuromu in the school newspaper. This jealousy came to a head when she discovered he was a fan of her performances, and she fainted from a fever after a heated exchange. However, she grew to trust and rely on him after he helped her during a concert, leading to a genuine friendship. She later enlisted Iruma and their classmate Lied Shax to help her compete in the Akudol Games. Her feelings for Iruma remain ambiguous, though she has shown signs of possible romantic interest, blushing at his mention and making a surprising public declaration about marrying his idol persona, Irumi. She shares a professional relationship with her manager, Kyu-pa, and a competitive yet inspirational dynamic with her admirer, the idol Gyari. At school, she is often exasperated by the perverted behavior of Caim Kamui, who worships her as his queen.

Throughout the series, Kerori shows significant development. Her training allowed her to overcome her reliance on mere cuteness, tapping into a more profound inner strength and authority that earned her the title of queen. This growth is reflected in her personality; by her second year, she has shed much of her earlier shyness and nervousness, trading her large glasses for smaller pince-nez spectacles as her demeanor becomes more confident and assertive, more closely matching the rest of her family. Her motivation, while still rooted in a desire for recognition, evolves to include a genuine passion for connecting with her fans and using her influence positively.
