Description
Latte is a young princess from the Healing Garden, a hidden realm dedicated to Earth's restoration under her mother Queen Teatinu's rule. Resembling a small, light beige dog, she has large purple eyes with a single lash, pink cheeks, and puffy ears decorated with pastel purple bows. A gold heart ornament on her forehead features a pale blue center that shifts yellow during illness or weakness. She wears a fuchsia bow with a light pink flower at her neck.

Her personality blends friendliness, naivety, and fierce loyalty; she often appends "~latte" to her thoughts or barks when her inner voice transmits via stethoscope. She adores napping but frequently wanders off alone, alarming caretakers. Prone to loneliness and sickness—especially when sensing Earth's threats—she selflessly prioritizes friends' safety over her own. Latte deeply loves Queen Teatinu yet feels spoiled by her, viewing the Healing Animals Rabirin, Pegitan, and Nyatoran as older siblings. On Earth, she bonds intensely with primary caretaker Hanadera Nodoka and grows attached to Nodoka's mother Yasuko, becoming distressed when Yasuko resumes work and reduces their time together.

Latte detects Byogen infections like her mother, though overexertion critically weakens her. Initially mute, her inner voice emerges through a stethoscope—though she sometimes vocalizes unaided. During major battles, excessive power use triggers illness; severe sickness may nullify her detection. Element Bottles cure Byogen-related ailments but not common illnesses like colds. By the series' end, she gains healing abilities to restore the Cures post-victory, masters flight, and improves speech despite occasional mispronunciations.

Her journey begins fleeing the Healing Garden for Earth, where she falls ill instantly upon sensing a Megabyogen. Nodoka rescues and adopts her. Throughout the series, Byogen surges repeatedly sicken Latte, causing collapses during Megabyogen attacks. A pivotal arc sees her fleeing loneliness when Yasuko returns to work; searching for Yasuko triggers another illness cured by an Element Bottle. Later, after catching a cold and yearning for Teatinu, Batetemoda captures her. Spirit Fuurin Asumi rescues Latte; initially resisting Asumi's overprotectiveness, they partner to defeat Batetemoda, forging a bond solidified when Asumi vows to respect her feelings. In the finale, Latte heals the exhausted Cures after Neo King Byogen's defeat and returns to the Healing Garden. There, she hones speech and flight, summons aid in a final battle, bids the Cures farewell, and pledges to protect Earth.

Her name derives from Italian for "coffee and milk." Reversing the romanized "Rate" into "ra-te" yields "Tera," echoing Latin "Terra" (Earth).
