Description
Rabirin is a rabbit-like Healing Animal who appears in the anime film Eiga Healin' Good ♥ Precure Yume no Machi de Kyun! tto GoGo! as the partner fairy of the heroine Nodoka Hanadera. She is a small fairy with a pearl pink body, dark pink rounded eyes, a curled tuft of fuchsia hair, and a pink shawl decorated with a flower bud. She is female and ends her sentences with the characteristic phrase "~rabi."
In terms of background, Rabirin comes from the secret world of Healing Garden, a place where animal healers work to keep the Earth healthy. She is an apprentice Earth doctor who, along with her fellow trainees Pegitan and Nyatoran and the princess Latte, escaped to the human world after Healing Garden was attacked by the Byogens. Their mission is to find suitable partners and awaken the legendary doctors known as the Precure to heal a wounded Earth.
Her personality is energetic, feisty, and strongly justice-driven. She tends to be overly enthusiastic and can push herself too hard, which often leads to clumsy mistakes, and she has a habit of sulking when things do not go her way. She frequently pulls Nodoka along with her enthusiasm, while Nodoka acts as a calming brake when Rabirin is about to overreach, so the two balance each other out.
Her main motivation is her sense of duty as an apprentice healer and her desire to protect the Earth. Her resolve is demonstrated from the moment she meets Nodoka in a park while desperately seeking help for the ailing Princess Latte. Seeing Nodoka's willingness to save Latte, Rabirin is convinced that Nodoka is the right partner, and their hand contact gives birth to the Healing Stick, allowing Nodoka to transform into Cure Grace.
In the story, Rabirin acts as Nodoka's transformation partner and combat companion. She merges with the Healing Stick to transform Nodoka into Cure Grace and serves as her support during battle, sharing the pain of enemy attacks with her and risking her own life to purify the monsters called Megabyogen. In the film, she travels with Nodoka, Chiyu, Hinata, and Asumi to Tokyo, where the group experiences the dream-projecting world of YumeR. When the mysterious creature Ego Ego appears and begins stealing people's dream buds, Rabirin joins the fight alongside the Precure. The film also introduces a special partnered transformation in which Rabirin and Cure Grace combine into a more powerful form, reflecting the deep trust they have built.
Her most important relationship is with Nodoka. Early in the series, Rabirin impulsively declares the partnership over when she learns that Nodoka is unathletic, but she later apologizes once she understands that they both share the same wish to save everyone, and the two grow closer from then on. She also has close bonds with her fellow Healing Animals Pegitan and Nyatoran, and she cares for Princess Latte. During the film, she and the other Healin' Good fairies cooperate with the visiting Precure team from Yes! PreCure 5 GoGo!.
Her development is marked by her growth from a hasty, impulsive fairy into a more understanding and dependable partner. The early breakdown of her partnership with Nodoka teaches her the importance of trust and mutual respect, and by the time of the film her ability to unite with Cure Grace demonstrates how strong their connection has become.
Regarding notable abilities, Rabirin can initiate the transformation through the Healing Stick, support Cure Grace in combat, sense danger, and aid in healing and purifying the Earth. She also shares the burden of pain with her partner, and in the film she can fuse with Cure Grace into a new combined form, showing the unique power born from their bond.
