Rabirin is a pink rabbit-like Healing Animal fairy from the Healing Garden, a realm dedicated to Earth's well-being. When the Byogens, entities seeking to infect the planet, attack the Healing Garden, its ruler Queen Teatine entrusts Rabirin and fellow Healing Animals Pegitan and Nyatoran with escorting her daughter Princess Latte to Earth. Their mission is to find human partners whose hearts resonate with them to become Pretty Cure warriors.
Rabirin possesses a strong sense of justice and a high-spirited, energetic personality, though she is prone to making mistakes and acting impulsively. Her initial approach involved openly announcing their quest to passersby, contrasting with her later insistence to partner Nodoka Hanadera on maintaining secrecy about their identities. Rabirin resonates deeply with Nodoka's determination to protect others, despite Nodoka's frail health stemming from a past illness caused by a Byogen general. This resonance allows Rabirin to form a pact with Nodoka, enabling her transformation into Cure Grace.
Rabirin's partnership with Nodoka experiences significant development. Early conflicts arise when Rabirin breaks their partnership due to concerns over Nodoka's safety during battles, fearing her physical limitations. They reconcile by reaffirming mutual trust and commitment. Another disagreement stems from Rabirin's embarrassment over wanting an unattractive daruma mascot plushie, leading to a temporary rift that hinders transformation until they resolve their misunderstanding through honest communication.
Functionally, Rabirin carries a "Healing Room Bag," which contains essential equipment and serves as her living quarters. She participates in Cure Grace's transformation sequence via the "Cure Touch." In the final battles against the Byogens, Rabirin joins Queen Teatine and other Healing Animals in confronting Neo King Byogen. They attempt to trap him in a forcefield; he breaks free and absorbs them before their collective determination to survive leads to liberation.
Other Healing Garden inhabitants include Rayon and Trine (lion-like and tiger-like knights serving Teatine), Sarlow (a monkey-like elder), and minor fairies like Suzuchun, Momomon, Ferremin, and Hamtus.
