Description
Kuriaki Magi is a university student in his third year in the Literature Department at Yatsume University. He has a gloomy appearance, with messy black hair and glasses, and despite his reluctance, he becomes the leader of a Children's Literature seminar. He works part-time at a 100-yen shop to support himself. His life takes a supernatural turn when he and his close friend Yaeko Kirihara witness a man named Momoyuki Mogura suffer a severe head injury, only to see him walk away unharmed. After trying to help Mogura, Kuriaki begins to see ghosts and becomes entangled in a world of earthbound spirits.
Kuriaki harbors a strong dislike for the supernatural, but he is defined by an earnest and helpful nature. He often provides emotional support when dealing with the tragic stories of the spirits they encounter, and he willingly assists even when he feels out of his depth.
