Description
Gahman Nobil, a veteran mobile suit pilot of the anti-Federation group Mafty, commands the Me-02R Messer Type-F01 under the callsign *Messer 2*, marked by a prominent facial scar. During a diversionary assault in Davao to aid Hathaway Noa’s escape from Tasadai Hotel, his unit clashes with Federation Gustav Karl mobile suits. Confident in the operation’s timing, his plans unravel when the Federation’s Penelope damages his thruster mid-battle, forcing him to crash-land near Hathaway and Gigi Andalucia. Captured and interrogated by Federation officer Kenneth Sleg, Gahman deflects accusations of serving as a decoy for Hathaway’s leadership role in Mafty, denying direct involvement. He taunts Sleg with sardonic hints about Char Aznable’s legacy, intensifying tensions.
Later exploited as a hostage by Federation pilot Lane Aim during the Penelope’s standoff against the Ξ Gundam, Gahman is abandoned mid-conflict and rescued by Hathaway. Rejoining Mafty, he aids the assault on Adelaide’s Federation Assembly. His fate remains unresolved after the mission collapses.
A pragmatic yet loyal soldier, Gahman balances Mafty’s ideals with the grim costs of rebellion, voicing regret over civilian casualties in Davao. His dynamic with Hathaway and Sleg underscores his role as a hardened operative navigating ideological conviction and the ruthlessness of guerrilla warfare.
