Description
Aigokeros is a character from the anime and light novel series A Wild Last Boss Appeared! He serves as one of the twelve most powerful subordinates of the main protagonist, Ruphas Mafahl, holding the title of the Goat within the group known as the Twelve Heavenly Stars or the Twelve Stars of the Path of Conquest.

The background of Aigokeros is quite unusual. He is not a naturally born creature in the conventional sense but is a Lord Demon, a race considered even more malicious and superior to the demon god race. He originated in Helheim, a hellish underworld saturated with extremely high concentrations of mana. Aigokeros was born as a spontaneous mutation from this dense mana, making him an unforeseen irregularity, a kind of system bug in the world, similar to Ruphas herself. Before coming into Ruphas's service, he ruled Helheim as a feared demon king, a being so dangerous that it was believed he could grow into a threat surpassing even the demon gods.

Regarding his personality, Aigokeros presents a striking contradiction. In his everyday human-like form, he appears as a distinguished, elderly gentleman with a formal and polite manner of speaking. His appearance, often described as that of a refined butler with a monocle and black suit, leads many to initially assume he is a calm and trustworthy individual. However, this is a deceptive facade. His true nature is that of an authentic, arrogant demon. He is cruel and dismissive towards strangers, viewing anyone outside his inner circle as worthless trash. He deeply enjoys instilling fear and despair in others, often making terrifying statements just to watch them squirm. Beneath his gentlemanly exterior lies a lecherous and eccentric pervert, who has attempted to sneak into his master Ruphas's bedroom and whose behavior is considered as depraved as that of another member, Scorpius. Despite these disturbing traits, he shows a surprising degree of familiarity and a twisted form of affection towards Ruphas and his fellow comrades.

Motivation and loyalty are the core drivers of Aigokeros's actions. He possesses an absolute and almost fanatical loyalty to Ruphas Mafahl. He does not see his subjugation to her as a humiliation but as the most natural and correct order of existence, believing she is the only one truly worthy of ruling the world of Midgard. This loyalty turned into an all-consuming rage two hundred years before the main story when the Seven Heroes betrayed and seemingly destroyed Ruphas. His desire for vengeance against those who took his beloved master from him was so powerful that he was willing to swallow his immense pride and cooperate with the demon god race, whom he naturally despises, just for a chance to destroy the heroes.

In the story, Aigokeros first re-emerges in the kingdom of Gjallarhorn, ruled by the Heavenly King Merak. Still driven by his two-hundred-year-old grudge, he allies with a demon general to incite a civil war within the kingdom as part of his plan for revenge. However, when Ruphas, who has since returned to the world, arrives in Gjallarhorn, Aigokeros immediately ceases his schemes. Recognizing his master once more, he joyfully and without hesitation rejoins her side, becoming an active member of her group as she seeks to reunite the rest of the Twelve Stars.

His key relationships are defined by his overwhelming devotion to Ruphas, whom he addresses with the utmost reverence. He respects her power and authority above all else, and she is the only one who can keep his more outrageous behaviors in check, often scolding him, hitting him, or simply throwing him away when he goes too far. He has a noted relationship with Aries, the Ram of the Twelve Stars, as both are magical beasts and share a compatibility in their fighting styles, though Aigokeros's methods are more direct. He is also compared to Scorpius as being equally dangerous and perverted.

Regarding development, Aigokeros's character arc primarily revolves around his return to purpose. While his core personality remains unchanged, his reunion with Ruphas restores his focus. He transitions from a free agent enacting a solitary, centuries-long vendetta back into a loyal soldier serving a cause greater than himself, his thirst for revenge quelled by the reappearance of his true master.

Aigokeros's notable abilities are formidable, reflecting his status as one of the most dangerous members of the Twelve Stars, often ranked alongside Leo as the most fearsome. His race is Lord Demon, and his attribute is Moon. In his true demon form, he becomes a monstrous being with a goat's head, a man's torso, bat-like wings, and a lower body that is an unstable, churning mass of mana. In this form, his voice itself becomes a psychological weapon, sounding like nails on glass and eroding the minds of those who hear it. His combat style focuses on direct interference and control, using powerful Moon-attribute magic. His most infamous ability is his unique skill, Deneb Algedi. This attack compresses highly concentrated mana into a devastating blast. Its primary danger, however, lies in its secondary effect: for a certain period after being hit, the target becomes completely unable to recover any damage, rendering healing magic and even powerful items like elixirs useless. This forces any opponent into a desperate, short-term battle, making Aigokeros a terrifying foe, especially in group fights where he can neutralize the enemy's support.
