Growing up in the same hostile area as Kakeru Ryuen and Kazuomi Hosen, his past behavior as a delinquent and his academic neglect are the primary reasons for his placement in Class D. Despite this background, Akito is now reserved, calm, and solitary, preferring to avoid large groups and conflict, though he is not easily intimidated and will step in to stop a fight if necessary. He is straightforward, honest, and loyal to his close friends. He finds belonging in the Ayanokoji Group, formed with Haruka Hasebe, Teruhiko Yukimura, Airi Sakura, and Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, valuing the comfort and lack of pressure to change. Academically, he excels in Science and Math but struggles in subjects like World History and Language, studying enough to avoid failure; his patterns closely mirror Haruka Hasebe’s. His physical ability is rated B on the OAA, he ranks fourth in Class D grip strength, and his archery skills remain strong. Akito harbors unrequited romantic feelings for Haruka, but hesitates to confess to preserve group harmony. During the unanimous special exam, he vehemently opposes Haruka’s plan to sacrifice herself to protect Airi, prioritizing Haruka’s well-being. After Airi’s expulsion, when Haruka considers revenge, Akito resolves to support her unconditionally, stating that his feelings will not allow him to let her go alone, and agrees to leave school with her, though this is ultimately prevented.
