TV-Series
Description
Miyako Kujō is a second-year student at Hakusen Academy and the heiress of the Kujō Group, a major corporate family. Despite her privileged upbringing, she works a part-time job at her grandfather’s café, Café Nine Ball, to experience ordinary life and understand the value of money. She is typically described as a diligent and responsible young woman, though she has a slightly scatterbrained side that endears her to classmates of both genders. Her appearance is often noted as refined and beautiful, and she carries herself with a graceful demeanor befitting her background, yet her personal sense of money is surprisingly frugal and grounded.

Her personality blends a strong moral core with a trusting, occasionally playful nature. She places great confidence in Kakeru Niimi, a classmate who thinks flexibly and acts decisively, and she sometimes shows a mischievous streak when interacting with him. Miyako is motivated by a deep sense of justice and a desire to give back to the town where she was raised. When she comes into possession of a mysterious ornament known as an Artifact, she awakens a supernatural ability—invisibility—which she immediately resolves to use for the greater good. She becomes actively involved in investigating a series of petrification incidents plaguing the city.

In the story of 9-nine- Ruler's Crown, Miyako serves as the central heroine of the first arc and the primary partner to Kakeru Niimi. She approaches him to help track down the Artifact user responsible for the attacks, and together they form an investigative alliance. As the plot unfolds, her role expands into that of the group's emotional anchor, providing stability and a clear moral compass. She is also a mentor figure to Kakeru’s younger sister, Sora Niimi, who looks up to her.

Her key relationships are defined by mutual trust and growth. With Kakeru, a deep romantic bond develops as they synchronize their abilities and face high‑stakes battles. She also works alongside other Artifact users such as Haruka Kōsaka and Noa Yūki, though her closest alliance remains with Kakeru.

Over the course of the series, Miyako experiences significant development. Initially portrayed as a lonely girl burdened by the expectations of her wealthy family, she gradually learns to open up and rely on others. Her journey transforms her into a confident warrior who uses her abilities not to hide from the world but to protect it. Her sense of duty and her willingness to trust her companions become defining traits.

Her notable ability is the power of invisibility granted by her Artifact. She uses this power to conduct covert investigations, gathering information and supporting her allies from the shadows. Beyond her supernatural gift, her sharp intuition and strong ethical convictions make her an indispensable member of the team.
