Description
Hana Bōshi is a character from the anime Bogus Skill Fruitmaster. She serves as the head of the Adventurers Guild Research Bureau, a role that involves studying monster ecology and distribution as well as conducting geographical surveys. Her official title is the lead investigator of the Guilds Investigation Office.

In terms of appearance, Hana Bōshi is a young woman who is easily recognized by her large hat decorated with flowers, which is the literal meaning of her name. She has light green hair that is typically styled into two long braids or ponytails, and she has purple eyes. Her overall look is notable and somewhat whimsical, matching her lively personality.

Hana Bōshi possesses a unique and formidable ability known as Scholar's Eye. This skill allows her to view any written information in the world from a distance, including hidden, encrypted, or ancient documents, as long as she knows the location of the material. When she activates this power, a magnifying glass and an eye appear on her left palm. While this ability is invaluable for research and intelligence gathering, she also uses it for combat by accessing forbidden grimoires. By tapping into the 48 forbidden volumes known as the Grimo Magia, she can unleash powerful magical techniques, such as freezing targets with the Book of Ices "Frost Flower," causing rocks to rain down with the Book of Ruptures "Stone Game," or trapping enemies in a square prison of light with the Book of Spheres "Birdcage".

Her personality is characterized by a cheerful, playful, and often childlike demeanor. She has an insatiable curiosity and a deep passion for discovering new knowledge, sometimes becoming so absorbed in her research that she loses awareness of her surroundings. However, despite this lighthearted exterior, she is also a serious and committed professional who does not hesitate to take drastic or unorthodox measures when the situation calls for it. She has a sharp sense of justice, makes rational and pragmatic decisions, and prioritizes the safety of the people and the mission of the Guild above personal feelings.

Her role in the story is closely tied to her investigative duties. She is one of the few people aware of the secrets surrounding the entity known as the Saint, making her a key player in the Guilds efforts to uncover hidden plots. She demonstrates flexibility in her methods, choosing to cooperate with former targets like Lena Floria and Dratena Belbury when faced with a greater threat, rather than pursuing them blindly. For instance, she helps Dratena escape from Lena during a disagreement in Athena city, and later the group joins forces to face a monster threat orchestrated by the villain Argos. Her primary motivation is driven by a combination of her own intellectual curiosity and a genuine desire to protect the populace from looming dangers, such as evil dragons, by uncovering the truth. When she realizes the Saint is involved in a crisis concerning another character named Ashina, she decides to seek out her own mentor to learn the organizations true intentions and thwart their plans.
