Lai Hui (also romanized as Rai Ki) appears exclusively in the manga and anime series "Kingdom." He serves as an adjutant and commander within the Mou Bu Army of the Qin military, acting as a vassal to the Mou family. Lai Hui first appears during the Battle of Bayou arc, positioned among Mou Bu's top commanders witnessing General Ou Ki's final moments. His presence continues through subsequent campaigns, including the Alliance arc where he attends a celebratory banquet with fellow vassals Mou Bi and Chou Shi, and the Sanyou Campaign arc where he participates in strategic discussions concerning the Wei general Ren Pa. During the Coalition Invasion arc, Lai Hui and Chou Shi engage in combat against Bei Man, a vassal of the Chu general Kan Mei, to prevent Bei Man from reinforcing his commander. In the Kyou Kai's Revenge arc, Lai Hui and Chou Shi inform Mou Bu of his father Mou Gou's death while the army is stationed at the Kakuen border region. He later commands offensive maneuvers for the Mou Bu Army during the Battle at Gecchi Plains in the War of the Three States arc. Lai Hui possesses a serious expression and sports a goatee. He wears the standard Qin military uniform and a distinctive two-horned helmet. His personality reflects a serious demeanor, mirroring his superior, Mou Bu. As an adjutant and vassal, Lai Hui demonstrates capable military leadership skills. His role remains consistently tied to the Mou Bu Army's operations across all documented arcs.
