Description
Azir Anuma Kukuja is the young lord of the prosperous mining city of Kukuja. He is a human male who becomes a significant figure as the story progresses, initially positioned as an antagonist driven by a tragic past and a deep-seated desire for a specific kind of peace.
Azir is the son of Beluga, the former ruler of Kukuja. Growing up near the Sunlight Forest, he shared a close childhood friendship and a romantic relationship with Raniya, the elf who is destined to become the next leader of the elven sanctuary. This idyllic period ended violently when a rebellion broke out among the human citizens of Kukuja. They felt disadvantaged by what they perceived as favoritism shown to the elves in mining work, and their repeated requests for change to the Tower of Mages were ignored. During this uprising, Azir witnessed the murder of his beloved father, an event that profoundly traumatized him and fundamentally altered his outlook on life.
In the wake of this tragedy, Azir inherited his father's title as lord. His motivations stem from this conviction, leading him on a quest to subjugate both humans and demi-humans under his rule, believing that only by becoming a dominant force can he prevent the chaos and suffering that claimed his father. This ideological shift puts him on a direct and painful collision course with Raniya, as their differing visions for the future tear their former intimacy apart.
