TV-Series
Description
Fahm, also known as Fam, is the leader of a mercenary group called Shadow, which specializes in information gathering and espionage. He is a 22-year-old man who operates under a pseudonym, having abandoned his real name, Mazark Find, along with a past he prefers to keep hidden. Despite having recently assumed leadership of Shadow, Fahm maintains his position not through traditional command skills but through his overwhelming individual strength and exceptional intelligence.
In terms of personality, Fahm is cautious and methodical, always carefully evaluating both the client and the nature of a request before accepting any job. He is not driven by wealth or ambition; his political ambition stat is recorded as 45 out of a possible 45, indicating a very specific and perhaps personal set of goals. He has no strong desire to lead others, but his personal power compels others to follow him. His principles are his primary guide, and he will refuse even highly lucrative missions if he does not agree with them. His true loyalty is not for sale; instead, it is earned by witnessing genuine devotion and strength of character in others.
Fahm's most notable ability is his mastery of disguise, particularly his skill in transforming into a woman. He frequently works undercover as a female waitress in a tavern, a role that allows him to gather sensitive information without arousing suspicion. His disguise is so effective that only Marielle Grangeon has been able to see through it at a glance; even Ars Louvent, who possesses a powerful appraisal skill, could not determine Fahm's true gender without using that special ability. Beyond his talents in subterfuge, Fahm is a formidable combatant. His assessed stats show exceptional bravery at 91 out of 92 and high intelligence at 87 out of 90, while his leadership is notably lower at 33 out of 44. His aptitude for archery is rated as S, the highest rank, and he also demonstrates high proficiency with infantry, magic, and siege weapons. He is also a skilled user of shadow magic, which allows him to blend into darkness and become visually undetectable, though this concealment does not mask sound.
Fahm's role in the story begins when he crosses paths with Ars Louvent. He becomes interested in Ars not for money but because he observes the genuine care and loyalty that Ars inspires in his retainers, including his formidable wife and a loyal dog. This respect for Ars's character leads Fahm to accept his request for information gathering. Over time, Fahm and his entire Shadow group swear loyalty to Ars and officially become his retainers. In this capacity, Fahm leads his group of over 46 skilled members on critical missions, such as infiltrating enemy castles to open gates, disarming magical traps, and gathering intelligence for Ars's campaigns. Despite becoming a vassal who technically cannot refuse orders, Fahm is said to enjoy even more freedom than he did as a mercenary, continuing to operate under his waitress disguise in Ars's territory. His development is marked by the transition from a selectively allied information broker to a trusted and integral officer in Ars's growing domain, where he is valued as a master of espionage, comparable to the famous ninja Hattori Hanzo.
