TV-Series
Description
Bundus Begalkeit is a middle-aged man and a supporting antagonist, serving as a member of the Raiders, a criminal organization of Gifted individuals. He is a towering figure, standing 200 centimeters tall, with a muscular build and an appearance that seems older than his 44 years, characterized by white or pale green hair and a thick beard. One of his most defining physical traits is the prosthetic device on his left arm, from which his Vital Instrument is deployed.
Despite being an antagonist, Bundus has a notably calm and friendly demeanor that stands in stark contrast to the typically brutal nature of his group. He often appears to lack any hostility towards his opponents, maintaining a positive and almost casual attitude even when facing enemies like the Cleaners. This demeanor can be disarming, leading others to question his true intentions. He describes himself as an individualist and is known for speaking his thoughts frankly, showing a particular dislike for secrets and things being hidden from him.
His motivations are driven by a combination of loyalty and personal curiosity. While he faithfully follows the orders of his leader, Zodyl, he also pursues his own interests. For instance, during a battle, he sought information about the Cleaners' leader, Alha Corvus, purely to satisfy his own inquisitive mind, assuring his enemies that this knowledge would not be used against them. He enjoys traveling, as well as the food and drink he discovers on his journeys.
In the story, Bundus plays a significant role during the Trash Storm Arc, acting as one of the primary obstacles for the Cleaners. He is initially sent to confront the Cleaners Bro and Dear Santa, engaging them in conversation and combat. His most notable confrontation occurs when he single-handedly blocks the combined efforts of multiple Cleaners from destroying the core of a giant Trash Beast. He uses his Vital Instrument to hold them at bay until he is ultimately overpowered by Rudo's enhanced attacks.
His key relationships include his leader, Zodyl, to whom he is very loyal and who respects Bundus's abilities in return. He also has a connection with a fellow Raider named Fu Orostor, as both are considered rookies within the organization, and Bundus has shown disappointment in Fu's lack of confidence. Although a powerful fighter, he is still considered a rookie within the Raiders. After demonstrating his capabilities against the Cleaners, he is promoted to the organization's front-line team, known as the Star Team.
Bundus's notable abilities stem from his Vital Instrument, which he calls Hands. This instrument takes the form of a large shoulder-mounted device from which he can deploy up to six distinct prosthetic arms. Each arm is a unique tool that he acquired at a different stage of his life, and their specific abilities reflect his mindset at that time. For example, Hand Number 2, which he received at age 18, has sharp talons that can cut, reflecting his youth when he was always making cutting remarks. Hand Number 3, from age 20, can stretch its fingers, representing a time when he could stretch his wings. Hand Number 5, from age 35, can move in unclear and unpredictable patterns, a period when his life was unclear. Hand Number 6, from age 40, can harden, symbolizing how he became more conservative with age. The arms are all connected to a core within his shoulder pad, which is the original prosthetic. This allows him to repair or regenerate any of the six arms as long as the core remains intact, making him a very persistent and formidable opponent. His strategic use of these arms allows him to adapt to and counter different enemy abilities in combat.
