Description
August Stilza is a supporting character in the anime Gachiakuta, serving as the dedicated artisan for the Cleaners. As a young man of twenty years, he stands tall at 187 centimeters with a slim build and long, flowing blonde hair. His face is typically concealed by a pair of dark blue goggles with orange lenses, while his wardrobe consists of a white short-sleeved shirt beneath light blue overalls. The overalls are fastened with a dark grey belt and feature suspenders with a grey buckle, numerous pockets with orange interiors, and a golden-yellow collar displaying the Cleaners logo. He completes his distinctive look with oversized white gloves marked by orange lines, orange sandals wrapped in white bandages, and a pair of orange headphones with black foam padding.

August is defined by an extremely loud and passionate personality that makes him one of the most energetic members of the organization. He approaches his work with intense enthusiasm and speaks at a high volume, carrying himself with an almost constant state of excitement. However, this fiery nature comes with a significant quirk: he is an active procrastinator. When given a strict deadline or rushed by others, his creative process suffers considerably, and he struggles to produce satisfactory results. Conversely, when left to work on his own schedule without external pressure, he can produce high-quality work remarkably quickly. This tendency makes him a person who must operate on his own terms, and he values the freedom to follow his creative instincts above rigid schedules.

As the creator behind the Cleaners' distinctive image, August runs and designs a clothing brand called Collosso, through which he produces all of the team's uniforms, masks, and equipment. He is an expert craftsman whose skills extend beyond mere functionality into genuine artistry. His role in the story revolves around this creative contribution, as he outfits the Cleaners for their various missions, including the special costumes required for the Doll Festival. Notably, he used his most beloved materials to create a full-face mask for Rudo Surebrec, not because Rudo possessed any special abilities as a Giver, but because August recognized that Rudo would genuinely appreciate and care for the craftsmanship if the item later transformed into a Vital Instrument.

Family is central to August's character. He and his younger sister, Eishia Stilza, were raised by their grandmother, Alice Stilza, after their parents died when they were fairly young. Alice is a brilliant and pioneering doctor who specializes in treating body contamination, and August holds her medical expertise in high regard despite their tendency to bicker and insult each other affectionately, particularly regarding her baking. August loves his sister deeply and serves as a constant source of encouragement for her, always pushing her to have confidence in her abilities and promising to fight anyone who disparages her. Eishia frequently finds herself trying to rein in her brother's loud and eccentric behavior, but the bond between them remains strong, and they are often seen together. The siblings also share practical responsibilities, such as driving away together on a motorcycle after warning the Cleaners about an approaching threat.

Throughout the narrative, August interacts with various Cleaners in meaningful ways. He likes Rudo because Rudo appreciates the effort and care that goes into his work despite not being a Giver. He shows frustration when Follo initially wants to remain with the Supporters, having already made a special Cleaner uniform for him, but his visible disappointment persuades Follo to wear it regardless. During the Doll Festival arc, when civilians are injured, August actively helps by bringing people to Eishia for treatment and encouraging her to trust in her healing abilities. When he needs an extension cord for his sister to use her powers, he runs off to find one and encounters Wing, who leads him backstage where they discover the staff has been incapacitated. Upon finding Hyo responsible for the attack, August's reaction is characteristically unexpected: rather than expressing fear or anger, he declares that she is attractive and asks her to model for him, not as a flirtatious advance but because he genuinely wants to feature her in his designs.

August's abilities are rooted entirely in his craftsmanship rather than combat skills. His talent as a designer and creator is the primary way he contributes to the Cleaners' mission, equipping them with the tools and uniforms they need to operate effectively. He is the person responsible for the full-face masks and other specialized gear that define the team's appearance and functionality. His creative philosophy emphasizes both practical protection and visual expression, treating each piece of equipment as something that should reflect the wearer's identity and the organization's style. This dedication to his art, combined with his loud personality, fierce family loyalty, and paradoxical relationship with deadlines, makes August a memorable presence within the Cleaners.
