TV-Series
Description
Dear is a ten-year-old member of the Cleaners, serving as a Giver within the faction known as Team Child. Born on September 17, Dear stands 130 centimeters tall and is recognized as the youngest member of the group. A striking feature of his appearance is his bicolored hair, which is brown on the right side and white on the left, and is often styled into five distinct tied locks. His eyes are blue, and he has visible freckles on his cheeks, which contrast with his typically stern or irritated expression.

Personality-wise, Dear is defined by his silent yet highly expressive demeanor. He is never shown speaking, communicating exclusively through a range of facial expressions and noises that convey his feelings with surprising clarity. This silent communication often results in a glare of disdain or contempt, which can be intimidating despite his small stature. He presents as generally irritable and easily annoyed, particularly disliking being given nicknames like "Little Dear" or being underestimated for his age. When Bro Santa implied that Dear had shown some interest in the protagonist Rudo, Dear reacted with visible irritation that bordered on anger. Beneath this dismissive and impertinent exterior, however, he does not hesitate to show worry or concern for his comrades when they face dangerous adversaries. He has a fondness for sweets and sleeping, and notably becomes very sleepy when it gets late at night, which can be a disadvantage during extended missions. He detests boredom and lengthy conversations, quickly losing interest in situations that drag on. Dear also displays a clever, almost strategic side, such as when he silently stared at Rudo while he was eating candy, prompting Rudo to share, after which Dear gave a sly smile suggesting the outcome was calculated.

Dear's role within the story is as a member of Team Child, a squad of Janitors responsible for dealing with threats. Despite his youth, he is actively involved in dangerous missions alongside much older allies. His primary weapon is his Vital Instrument, a pacifier-like Human Tool named Centralian, which he keeps in his mouth almost constantly. The presence of the pacifier provides an in-universe reason for his lack of dialogue and accentuates the contrast between his childish appearance and his role as a combatant. He has demonstrated the ability to use Centralian to blast a hole through a solid wall, proving that his small size belies considerable destructive power.

Key relationships define much of Dear's development. His closest bond is with his teammate Bro Santa, with whom he shares a relationship described as that of a true father and son. Bro Santa acts as a parental figure, protecting Dear while also entrusting him with responsibilities. In return, Dear shows trust and affection toward Bro, revealing a softer side beneath his usual impertinence. Bro Santa is also often seen interpreting or apologizing for Dear\'s grumpy expressions, further highlighting their close dynamic. Dear also shows a curious and opportunistic interest in Rudo Surebrec, particularly when there is food involved, using the situation to his advantage. His relationship with fellow Cleaner and Raider Bundus is marked by comedic tension, with Dear directing looks of profound distaste toward him.

In terms of development, Dear remains a consistently powerful and reliable fighter for Team Child. While his basic personality of irritable silence is stable, moments of concern for his allies and his clever, manipulative streak regarding sweets provide glimpses of depth beyond his young age. He has participated in high-stakes battles, including being caught in a collapsing trash beast alongside Bro Santa and Bundus, where he was able to use his device to contact headquarters for support, showing his usefulness extends beyond direct combat. His notable ability is his power as a Giver, channeling his abilities through the Human Tool Centralian to generate powerful, destructive force, such as blasting holes through solid structures.
