Description
Nina Farion is the eldest daughter of Gal Farion, the former Sword God, and later becomes the wife of Jino Britts, the succeeding Sword God. She was raised in the Holy Land of Swords and began practicing the Sword God Style at a very young age. A prodigy, she attained the rank of Sword Saint at sixteen and was expected to reach Sword King by twenty and Sword Emperor by twenty-five. Despite being Gal Farion’s daughter, her training was overseen by Sword Emperor Timothy Britts.
At the start of her story, Nina is a proud young woman with idealistic and somewhat naive expectations about life and strength. She initially appears as an opponent for Eris Greyrat, angered by Eris attacking Jino before their duel formally began. In their match, Nina breaks Eris’s sword and expects an easy victory, but is defeated by Eris’s unarmed strikes. Humiliated before her peers, she develops a bitter rivalry with Eris. Over time, however, her encounters with Eris and later with Rudeus Greyrat force her to reconsider her understanding of power and the Sword God Style. She sets out to investigate Rudeus after Eris speaks of him, planning to defeat him in order to get to Eris. At Ranoa Magic University, she witnesses Rudeus easily defeat a beast-man challenger and then sees his duel with the demon lord Badigadi, which leaves her shocked by the scale of strength displayed. These experiences humble her and spark a genuine resolve to become stronger. She begins carrying a second sword in case her primary one breaks again.
Nina’s role in the story grows from an antagonist into a rival and later a friend and ally. She becomes a regular sparring partner and companion to both Eris and Isolte Cruel, forming lasting bonds with them. Her marriage to Jino Britts marks a major personal milestone. Throughout her development, Nina sheds much of her early pride and naivete, learning humility and the true meaning of the Sword God Style through defeat and exposure to greater fighters. Her notable abilities stem from her prodigious talent in the Sword God Style, emphasizing swift, decisive strikes, and she is recognized as a Sword Saint of considerable promise at a young age. She is described as a beautiful girl with flowing dark blue hair, a modest bust, and a well-toned physique.
