Description
The father of the Mikadono sisters is named Toru Mikadono. He is a recurring supporting character in the story. His background is that of a wealthy and successful patriarch, and he was a relatively close friend of Subaru Ayase, the late legendary actress and mother of the protagonist Yuu Ayase. This long-standing acquaintance and a sense of debt to Subaru are the primary reasons he agrees to take Yuu into his home after her death.

In terms of personality, Toru is characterized by extreme discipline and a fiercely results-oriented mindset. He is profoundly convinced that talent is the most important quality a person can possess and that mediocrity holds no value. This belief system shapes his approach to raising his three exceptionally gifted daughters, whom he has brought up with a strict and demanding hand. However, beneath this stern exterior, he harbors a more vulnerable side. He is secretly a doting father who becomes anxious about his daughters' emotional lives; when they could not give him a clear answer about their relationship with Yuu, it left him genuinely worried.

Toru's primary motivation is the success and continued excellence of his daughters. His role in the story is initially that of an authority figure who is skeptical of Yuu. He views Yuu as an average and insufficient individual, and he forbids the sisters from engaging in social activities like festivals, believing they should focus solely on their pursuits. This creates a point of conflict, as the sisters ultimately defend Yuu and acknowledge his vital role in supporting them and maintaining the household. Over the course of the story, Toru shows some development as he is forced to reconsider his harsh views.

His key relationships are with his three daughters, Miwa, Niko, and Kazuki, whom he has pushed to excel, and with Yuu Ayase, whom he initially takes in out of obligation but eventually comes to see in a new light as Yuu proves his worth through practical support and emotional care. His notable abilities are not physical or superhuman, but rather his considerable influence, wealth, and authority as the head of the Mikadono family, as well as his unwavering commitment to the principle that talent and discipline are paramount.
