Description
Giuliano Flip is a beluga whale Beastman ruling as boss of The Family, a dominant mafia force in Anima City's underworld. His imposing human form boasts a large, well-built physique, bald head, broad shoulders, and sullen eyes, consistently clad in a sharp black suit, white collared shirt, tie, and sometimes a fedora. In his Beastman form, he retains his distinctive white beluga skin, legs, and clothing.

He commands through a ruthless and intimidating demeanor, wielding authority with minimal speech. This includes executing underlings for failure, as shown when he murdered associate Masaru Kusakabe for botching an interrogation. A deep-seated hatred for humans fuels him, rooted in the belief that beastman hunters killed, cooked, and ate his father—Nina's grandfather—though Nina later refutes this account.

Giuliano's core motivation centers on his daughter, dolphin Beastman Nina Flip. He exhibits intense overprotectiveness, spoiling her with gifts while strictly forbidding exposure to human culture like music. When Nina escapes Anima City, he mobilizes his forces for war against humans, only halted by Shirou Ogami's intervention.

His criminal empire, marked by silver dolphin lapel pins, influences Anima City's gambling scene and maintains ties to corporations like Sylvasta Pharmaceuticals. His activities include pressuring Gram Grandma into child trafficking to settle debts. Despite initial antagonism, he eventually cooperates with protagonists Michiru Kagemori, Shirou, Nazuna Hiwatashi, and Marie Itami to defend Anima City against rampaging Beastmans and vaccine-armed bots threatening permanent human transformation.

His relationship with Shirou evolves from rivalry to a reluctant alliance during the city's defense. His name combines whale references (Flip) with Italian mafiosi (Giuliano), and his character design draws influence from Marvel's Kingpin.
