Description
Kenjirō Shirasu is a third-year student at Seidou High School and serves as the team’s starting right fielder, wearing the jersey number nine. As a regular since the spring tournament of the first act, he has established himself as one of the most dependable and consistent players on the roster, known for a style of play that is not flashy but rock-solid.

In personality, Shirasu is extremely low-key and composed, rarely drawing attention to himself off the field. He is described as calm and consistent, with a quiet demeanor that hides a strong fighting spirit within. This unflappable nature makes him a stabilizing presence for the team, and he is fully aware of when to sacrifice personal glory for the collective good. His teammates and coaches place immense trust in his technical expertise and mental strength, which is reflected in his high rating for mental fortitude. Sawamura Eijun has nicknamed him the Silent Assassin, a title that suits his ability to strike with quiet precision when the game is on the line.

Shirasu’s primary motivation is the success of Seidou’s baseball team, a goal he pursues through steady performance and quiet leadership. He deeply values the team’s core players, particularly acknowledging Miyuki Kazuya as the pivotal part of the team whose abilities cannot be imitated. This respect translates into loyalty, as shown when he and Kuramochi Youichi agreed to prioritize Miyuki’s health over winning the tournament after learning of the captain’s injury. Shirasu also shares a notably close friendship with pitcher Kawakami Norifumi, indicating a supportive role in maintaining team morale behind the scenes.

Within the story, Shirasu is the embodiment of reliability in Seidou’s lineup and outfield defense. He is considered the most balanced hitter in the lineup, possessing both great speed and the ability to hit for power. By the second act, his offensive contributions have grown significantly, moving from a lower-order hitter to a key part of the cleanup crew, often batting third or fifth to drive in runs with solid base hits. Defensively, his skill is demonstrated by an ability to observe batters’ defining features and adjust his positioning accordingly, making him a reliable defender with excellent situational awareness.

Developmentally, Shirasu has evolved from a consistent starter to a cornerstone of the team’s golden attack route. While his quiet nature remains unchanged, his role has expanded as he became an upperclassman, taking on more responsibility alongside his peers like Miyuki and Kuramochi. His notable abilities are rooted in his well-rounded athleticism and mental toughness. His player statistics highlight exceptional mental strength alongside solid defense, batting, and physical conditioning. Beyond baseball, his hobbies include calligraphy, in which he holds a fourth dan, and music, which complements his focused and disciplined personality.
