TV-Series
Description
Maomao-chan is the young daughter of the Hell-lord, the ruler of the demon army in Tis Time for Torture, Princess. She is a very small and childlike demon girl of kindergarten age, with short white hair, red eyes, and distinctive elf ears. She also has an extra eye on her forehead, a trait inherited from her father.
Despite her youth, Maomao-chan already serves a formal role within the demon army as a torturer. Her methods of torture are innocent and childish, often resembling a tantrum or simple play rather than conventional interrogation. She might use items like bubble wrap or invite the princess to participate in playground activities. However, these tactics are surprisingly effective because the princess finds Maomao-chan so adorable that she cannot resist giving in. The princess often submits to Maomao-chan's requests simply out of a desire to please the child.
Maomao-chan's primary motivation appears to be pleasing her father, the Hell-lord, and participating in the activities of the demon army in her own guileless way. She does not seem to grasp the seriousness of the conflict between humans and demons, approaching her role with a pure and carefree attitude that contrasts sharply with the brutality of war.
Her key relationship is with the princess. Maomao-chan is one of the few characters who can consistently break the princess's resolve, not through temptation with food or games, but through sheer cuteness and earnestness. The princess visibly relaxes and struggles to speak properly when confronted with Maomao-chan. Their interactions are marked by a gentle, almost maternal fondness from the princess toward the child. Maomao-chan also has a notably caring relationship with her father, the Hell-lord, who watches over her during events like sports day.
Maomao-chan has no notable physical or combat abilities. Her only power is her innate charm and innocence, which disarms others and prompts them to fulfill her wishes. She does not undergo any significant character development over the course of the series, remaining a consistent figure of pure, childish warmth within the demon castle.
