Description
Jade is a Holy Knight of the Kingdom of Liones, serving as a prominent member of the Tristan Platoon under Prince Tristan. He is a young man characterized primarily by his grey, chin-length spiky hair and brown eyes. His standard attire includes gloves and armor, befitting his station as a knight.

Jade takes his duties as a Holy Knight very seriously. However, his personality is complex, marked by a conflict between his sense of duty and his personal feelings. Initially, he is shown to be reluctant to follow orders without question, calling out to his comrade Isolde to stop attacking a stranger named Percival because he appeared to be just a child. He dislikes causing unnecessary panic and requires convincing before joining a fight, though he ultimately follows the consensus of his group. He shows great respect for higher-ranked Holy Knights, such as Guila and the legendary warriors known as the Four Knights of the Apocalypse. In contrast, he can display a sense of entitlement and hypocrisy, as seen when he scolds a fellow knight for mocking the commoner Donny, only to laugh at Donny himself a moment later.

Jade shares a deep and complicated history with his two main comrades, Chion and Isolde. He has been friends with Isolde since childhood, and the two of them met Chion after he escaped from captivity, with the three becoming inseparable. A pivotal event in their shared past occurred when they were attacked by a Moss Dragon in a forest. They were saved by Prince Tristan, who carried a wounded Isolde to safety. Due to her injuries, Isolde mistakenly believed that Jade had been the one to carry her, and he allowed her to continue believing this lie. This incident is the root of Jade's hidden resentment. While he is outwardly loyal to Tristan, following his orders without question, he secretly hates the prince because Isolde is in love with him, as Jade himself harbors romantic feelings for her.

In the story, Jade acts as a steadfast, if sometimes conflicted, member of Prince Tristan's personal unit. When the platoon first encounters the young knight Percival, Jade is part of the group that attacks him, using his magical ability to shroud Percival's head in a dark sphere to blind him. He later participates in the search for the knight Gawain within the kingdom. During a mission in the castle dungeon, he and Chion are ambushed by a knight of Camelot, Jericho. Jade attempts to uphold a sense of chivalry even in battle, criticizing his opponent for a surprise attack, only to be frozen by her magic and ultimately saved by the intervention of Vice Great Holy Knight Guila. Jade later questions Chion's motives for acting against the prophesied knights, demonstrating a more level-headed and pragmatic approach compared to his hot-headed companion.

Jade's personal motivations are driven by his loyalty to his friends and his prince, which is constantly at war with his own unspoken jealousy. While he performs his duties as a Holy Knight without fail, his actions are informed by a desire to maintain his place within his trio and to suppress the secret that could tear it apart. His primary magical ability is called Monochrome, which allows him to create a sphere of pure darkness that can obscure an opponent's vision. His weapon of choice is a staff. Jade undergoes significant development when faced with the consequences of his own deceptions and his hidden feelings, challenging his previously straightforward identity as a loyal knight.
