Description
Ceecrue is a non-player character from the game world of Shangri-La Frontier, belonging to the Vorpal Bunny race and originating from the hidden country of Rabbits. He is the second son and third child of Vysache, the leader of Rabbits, making him the older brother of several notable characters including the rabbit Emul. Unlike some of his siblings who hold specific roles in their homeland, Ceecrue has no formal position and is instead known for his wandering, free-spirited nature.

In terms of appearance, Ceecrue is an anthropomorphic white rabbit who stands upright on two legs. He is notably taller than most Vorpal Bunnies, including his younger siblings, and stands roughly at the diaphragm height of his human companion, Akane Akitsu. He wears a distinctive bright red samurai armor set, complete with a helmet through which his large rabbit ears protrude. His outfit includes baggy black trousers adorned with white fire patterns, black socks, and sandals. His eyes are characteristically drawn in a squinted "≡≡" shape, which is said to be a result of focused training. His primary weapon is a katana, befitting his swordsman class.

Ceecrue's personality is defined by a strong love of freedom and independence, preferring to follow his own desires rather than adhere to fixed rules or duties. He has a tendency to suddenly disappear on adventures, a trait that has influenced his younger siblings to adopt similarly carefree attitudes. Despite this wandering nature, he is an honorable and disciplined swordsman who upholds the legacy of his father. He speaks in an old-fashioned, polite samurai dialect, referring to himself as "sessha" and often ending his sentences with "gozaru". While he is often pulled into the reckless and energetic schemes of his partner Akane Akitsu, he frequently acts as a voice of reason and a "straight man" to her wild personality, though he can sometimes get swept up in the excitement himself. He has a clear sense of warrior honor, following his friends' chosen paths without objection, but is also not afraid to voice his mind when he feels slighted.

Ceecrue is introduced into the story when the player Akane Akitsu discovers a unique scenario called the "Invitation from the Rabbit Country". He is sent to guide her to Rabbits, and he recognizes her worth, as she has been acknowledged by one of the Seven Colossi, the dragon Siegwurm the Sky Ruler. After this meeting, Ceecrue becomes Akane Akitsu's primary partner and companion, a role that mirrors the relationship between his younger sister Emul and the protagonist Sunraku. As a result, his combat and magical abilities grow significantly due to the need to support and adapt to the actions of his high-level partner.

Throughout the story, Ceecrue participates in major battles and unique scenarios. He provides crucial support to Akane and other players like Psyger-0 during the fight against the shadow clone of Lycagon the Nightslayer. During the battle with the Colossus Ctarnidd of the Abyss, Ceecrue helps to counter the enemy's physical attacks, deals with its unusual effects like a gender-swapping grail, and assists in defeating spawned monsters to weaken the boss. He also voices his displeasure when, after contributing to the Colossus's defeat, he and Emul were not offered a reward in the form of a unique grail.

A key characteristic of Ceecrue, shared with some of his older siblings, is that his level is locked at 99. This is an artificial limit placed within the game's code for balance purposes, and it is hinted that if this cap were ever to be removed, something monumental and potentially game-breaking would occur. In terms of notable abilities, Ceecrue is a master swordsman with powerful sword skills and a high mastery of both magic and skills. One of his unique traits, typical of his Vorpal Bunny lineage, is that he cannot transform into a human form. However, as a tactical alternative, he possesses the ability to shapeshift into a box, a form which Akane can then carry on her back for stealth or travel purposes.
