Description
Albrevit, also known as Albrevit Hamilton, is a secondary character in the anime I'm a Noble on the Brink of Ruin, So I Might as Well Try Mastering Magic. He is the eldest son of the noble Hamilton family, holding the position of count. Physically, Albrevit is depicted as an adult male with blue eyes and short blond hair. His typical attire includes a coat, slacks, a belt, and a scarf.

Albrevit's primary role in the story is that of an initial antagonist driven by insecurity and ambition. His motivations stem from a deep-seated worry about his own lack of significant achievements and the future of his house. This anxiety is exacerbated by the remarkable progress of his younger brother, Liam, the protagonist. Albrevit mistakenly believes that Liam's intense focus on mastering magic and gaining recognition is a calculated move to usurp the family title. Consequently, his initial attempts to manage the situation are somewhat contradictory; he introduces Liam to the Hunters' Association, a move that inadvertently provides Liam with a platform to gain even more fame.

Feeling increasingly cornered by Liam's escalating achievements, Albrevit resorts to a desperate and reckless act. In a misguided effort to outshine his brother and prove his own worth, he decides to unseal the Demon Dragon Radon, a creature that had been sealed away by the Hamilton family's ancestors. His plan is to single-handedly slay the dragon and claim the glory, but the plan ends in utter failure as he is easily defeated.

This event marks a crucial turning point for the character. His failure to control the demon dragon forces his father to intervene, and as punishment for his dangerous and irresponsible actions, Albrevit is placed under house arrest. The relationship between Albrevit and Liam, which was initially marked by indifference from the elder brother, transforms into one of open envy and hostility as Liam's power grows. Albrevit's actions create a major conflict, forcing Liam to step in to stop the rampaging dragon and restore order, which only serves to further elevate Liam's status as a powerful sorcerer. Albrevit's development in the narrative shows a character whose pride and fear of obsolescence lead him down a self-destructive path, cementing his role as a rival who cannot accept the changing circumstances within his own family.
