TV-Series
Description
Kaede Johan Nouvel hails from a noble family with aristocratic European and Japanese lineage. This half-French, half-Japanese Lily was born in Paris, spending her early childhood there under comprehensive private tutelage, bypassing elementary school for lessons in academics, practical skills, and Magi control fundamentals. Her family operates the prominent CHARM manufacturer Grand Guignol and resides in a European castle. Her mother, Tomomi Nouvel (née Kawai), is a former Lily specializing in defensive combat with a conservative style, while her father, Michel Nouvel, is a charismatic businessman.
To qualify for Japanese Garden entrance exams, Kaede enrolled in St. Mercurius's junior high division. There, she gained recognition as one of the "Dread Children," a group credited with revitalizing the school's combat performance; her team achieved evaluations surpassing Yurigaoka's junior high reserve team. Despite the institutional rivalry, Kaede accepted an invitation to Yurigaoka's high school division. She opted to take the entrance exam despite exemption eligibility, scoring near-perfect marks and placing in the 96th percentile.
Kaede exhibits a haughty disposition but harbors a pronounced fascination for "cute girls," particularly Riri Hitotsuyanagi, to whom she grows deeply attached after Riri saves her life. This infatuation manifests as possessiveness, including jealousy when others show affection toward Riri and enthusiasm during shared activities like bathing. She co-commands Team Hitotsuyanagi with Shenlin Kuo, devising tactical approaches centered on Riri and Yuyu Shirai as key combatants. In battle, Kaede employs a calculated, economical style focused on prediction and counterattacks rather than overwhelming offense, utilizing Regista's overhead vision for strategic positioning and precise finishes. She maintains her CHARMs meticulously, keeping at least three replacement parts for each component.
Her hobbies include collecting artwork and photography. She prefers high-class French and Japanese cuisine, disdains lowbrow culture, and holds a specific aversion to frogs. Fluent in 13 languages, she stands 164 cm tall and was born on January 1.
