Description
Northern Harris is a teacher at Rettoran Academy of Magic and the head of the State Magician Intensive Development Programme. He has white hair and violet eyes, and his overall demeanor is stern and authoritative. His background is tied to the institutional control of magic: he believes that magic should be reserved for a select group of qualified overseers and that the government should regulate its use. This conviction drives his actions throughout the story. He opposes the ancient, natural form of magic that Minami Suzuki teaches her Standard Program students, viewing it as a threat to the established order. Instead, he champions the use of modern magic notebooks, which rely on technology and an external energy source.
