She actively participates in an athletic club focused on running and jumping, where her exceptional leaping abilities set species records—achieving a 25-meter long jump far surpassing the typical 10-meter impala average.

Initially cheerful and friendly, Shiho endears herself to peers but possesses a deep instinctual fear of predators. This fear triggers immediate flight upon encountering King Shishino, a male lion who develops romantic feelings for her. His intimidating demeanor consistently provokes her panic, causing her to run from his repeated attempts to approach. Their dynamic transforms during an abduction by a rival lion aiming to subjugate King's harem. King defends Shiho, enduring a severe beating and sacrificing his mane—a key symbol of his status—to ensure her safety. Witnessing this selfless act, Shiho overcomes her instinctual fear and agrees to hear his confession. While initially declining romantic advances due to not being "in heat," she proposes starting a friendship, marking the relationship's beginning.

As their bond deepens, Shiho evolves from a fearful impala into an assertive partner. She assumes a position of authority within the relationship, openly chiding King for inappropriate behavior and displaying no residual panic during his outbursts. This growth culminates when King confronts her father to secure relationship permission, resulting in a physical altercation that solidifies their commitment.
