Description
Izzy Izumi, whose original Japanese name is Koushiro Izumi, is a core member of the DigiDestined in the anime Digimon Adventure 02. He is a student at御台场中学 (Odaiba Middle School), where he is depicted as a 13-year-old in his first year of junior high school. As a child, Izzy was adopted by Masami and Kae Izumi after his biological parents died in a car accident. He accidentally discovered this truth when he overheard a late-night conversation, which led him to unconsciously distance himself from his adoptive family. To cope with his feelings, he retreated into the world of computers and technology, a habit that became a defining aspect of his character. He later reconciles with his parents, who reassure him that they have always loved him as their own son.
