Description
Canadianman is a prominent supporting character in the Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc, representing a veteran Justice Chojin from Canada. He is a large, physically imposing fighter who typically lives as a lumberjack and also operates his own gym, known as the Canadianman Gym. His physical power is considerable; in past competitions, he demonstrated the ability to lift an entire stadium, marking him as an exceptionally strong combatant among Chojin.

Within the Perfect Origin Arc, Canadianman’s background as a longtime member of the Justice Chojin faction places him at the center of the story's initial conflict. He is present at the peace treaty signing between the Justice, Perfect, and Brutal Chojin factions, an event meant to herald a new era of cooperation. This peace is quickly shattered with the sudden arrival of the Perfect Chojin, a group of elite warriors who descend from the sky while Canadianman and other Justice Chojin are interacting with civilians. Showing the courage expected of a hero, he confronts the invaders but is swiftly and brutally defeated by Max Radial, a powerful member of the Perfect Chojin. His injury removes him from active combat early in the arc, relegating him to the role of a spectator for many of the subsequent major battles.

In terms of personality, Canadianman is characterized by his pride in his raw, brute strength, initially believing this to be the sole path to victory in a fight. He is portrayed as having a pragmatic and somewhat skeptical nature, having doubted the protagonist Kinnikuman’s abilities in the past. However, witnessing Kinnikuman’s actions in battle leads him to change his perspective and place his faith in him. His experiences with humiliating defeats, including the one suffered at the hands of Max Radial, drive a key aspect of his character development. Following these losses, he aspires to evolve beyond being merely a muscle-bound fighter, seeking to become more reserved, cunning, and tactical in his approach to combat. He is closely associated with fellow Justice Chojin Specialman, who is identified as his best friend. The two are frequently seen together and are known as recognizable background figures within the larger Chojin community.

Canadianman's role in the story before his defeat is crucial for establishing the threat level of the Perfect Chojin. His quick and decisive loss, alongside other veteran fighters, immediately demonstrates that the new antagonists are far more powerful than the average warrior, raising the stakes for the main heroes. Despite having a long history and previously being considered a top-tier Chojin, his inability to secure a single on-screen victory is a notable trait, solidifying his status as a valiant but often overmatched supporting character. His notable abilities include his immense physical strength, but he also possesses specific techniques such as the Canadian Backbreaker, Permafrost Drop, and Atomic Bombs Away.
