Wataru Komada is a Japanese voice actor and narrator affiliated with the agency 81 Produce. He was born on September 5, 1989, in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, and was raised in Germany, which contributed to his fluency in English conversation. Komada stands 185 cm tall and his hobbies include photography, watching movies, darts, and volleyball.
Komada began his career after winning multiple awards at the 5th 81 Audition in 2012, including the prestigious优秀奖 (Excellence Award). He officially joined 81 Produce on April 1, 2013, marking the start of his professional voice acting career. In his early years, he gained experience by voicing numerous minor and supporting characters in a wide range of anime series.
His career is highlighted by several major and recurring roles across anime, games, and drama CDs. In the long-running franchise Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-, he is the voice of Jyuto Iruma, a role he has reprised across multiple adaptations including the Rhyme Anima and Rhyme Anima+ anime series and various game projects. He also plays significant roles in two major male idol multimedia franchises: as Akiomi Kunugi in Ensemble Stars! and as Chris Gouron in The Idolm@ster SideM, appearing in its anime adaptations and games. In the romantic drama series Fire in His Fingertips, he voices the character Jun Hase.
