Description
Kyōichi Majima operates within the criminal Organization under Kubo's command, answering to Yoshitatsu Matori. His core duties involve surveillance, threat detection, and implementing countermeasures, areas where he demonstrates significant proficiency. He joined the yakuza to settle a deep-rooted family debt, driven by the goal of earning enough to reopen his mother's diner, a motivation shaping his actions and commitment to family despite his criminal life.

Physically, Majima possesses black hair and a lean build, typically dressed in functional attire suited for surveillance and combat. His demeanor blends calculated observation with flashes of controlled aggression, especially during Organization tasks.

Initially suspecting Tetsuo Tosu in Nobuto Matori's disappearance, Majima abducts him for interrogation. Forced to collaborate in investigating Nobuto's whereabouts, Majima reveals he bugged Tetsuo's phone and tracked his communications. Their investigation exposes Nobuto's betrayal of the Organization, including fund embezzlement. Though aware Tetsuo killed Nobuto, Majima chooses not to act immediately, suggesting a shift in priorities or strategic calculation.

Their dynamic evolves during a joint mission to settle a debt at a hostess club. A violent confrontation with rival criminals leads to an explosive attack that injures Majima. Tetsuo assists his escape, forging a reluctant partnership built on mutual recognition: Majima acknowledges Tetsuo's strategic mind, while Tetsuo leverages Majima's physical prowess and underworld connections for family protection. This alliance transitions from adversarial to cooperatively pragmatic, with Majima explicitly stating his awareness of Tetsuo's guilt yet opting for collaboration.

Majima exhibits complex moral dimensions, balancing loyalty to his family motivation against the brutal demands of yakuza life. His background reveals capacities for both calculated violence and unexpected vulnerability, such as experiencing trauma during a bar attack. He navigates organizational duties alongside personal objectives, ultimately prioritizing goals aligned with financial independence and familial redemption.
