Description
Kidow, the series’ central protagonist, works as a hardened exterminator in Trade City E-05, a post-apocalyptic hub besieged by insectoid monsters called Cagasters. Ruggedly handsome with dark spiky hair and piercing dark blue eyes, he bears a scar on his lower left jaw and a lean, combat-ready physique. His attire—dark shirts, cargo pants with knee pads, and military boots—mirrors the brutal pragmatism of his profession.

Cloaked in a cold, guarded demeanor, Kidow shields himself from emotional wounds rooted in a traumatic past. Raised by his adoptive father Lazarus in the Cagaster-ravaged Far East, he endured ruthless lessons in survival that prioritized efficiency over compassion. Lazarus molded him to kill infected humans before their transformation into Cagasters, enforcing a creed that branded emotional bonds as weakness. Yet this icy resolve fractures when Ilie, a teenage girl he begrudgingly safeguards, chips at his emotional armor.

Born Ileck—a name unveiled in pivotal flashbacks—his worldview clashes with moral ambiguities as he confronts hybrids and adversaries like Acht, a foe entwined with Ilie’s past. Skilled in exploiting Cagaster vulnerabilities and tactical combat, he navigates threats ranging from rogue exterminators and hybrid Cagasters to political conspiracies. His pragmatic code falters under guilt-ridden memories, such as slaying a fellow exterminator, and uneasy alliances with figures like military strategist Qasim.

As Ilie’s protector, Kidow faces missions infiltrating fortified strongholds and foes targeting her unique lineage. These trials force him to reconcile his survivalist instincts with flickering loyalty and responsibility. Though he clings to detachment, moments of vulnerability—reconciliation after clashes with Ilie, moral dilemmas blurring humanity and monstrosity—expose a complex soul grappling with the weight of connection in a fractured world.
