Description
Hizuki Reynard-Yamada is a student at the Akihabara Private School of Magic, Lu Xel. She is a half-elf, born of a human father and an elven mother, a heritage that unfortunately makes her a target for prejudice and scorn in a society that often views such unions as taboo. As the current head of the Reynard family, she belongs to one of the three great noble houses that once ruled Akihabara. However, her family has fallen into ruin following a mysterious attack a decade ago that led to the death of her parents, the loss of the family’s royal regalia, and the destruction of their status and fortune. Forced to fend for herself, she lives a life of financial struggle and works a secret part-time job as a waitress at a maid café called Helheim in Akihabara's Electric Town to cover her living expenses.

In terms of appearance, Hizuki is a notably beautiful young woman with long hair and a noticeable figure. Her most distinguishing feature is her heterochromia, possessing a gold-colored right eye and a red left eye. Her personality is best described as tsundere; she typically presents a cold, harsh, and distant exterior to those around her, often saying sharp or dismissive things. This prickly facade is a defense mechanism born from profound loneliness, social isolation, and deep-seated vulnerability. Having been rejected and mocked by her peers and community for her mixed blood and lack of magical talent, she has grown accustomed to solitude and feels she does not truly belong anywhere.

Despite her prestigious lineage, Hizuki is considered an outcast at her magic academy due to her almost non-existent magical ability, which has earned her the cruel nickname of a failure who only got in through family connections. This apparent crippling weakness, however, hides a significant secret. The royal regalia, a powerful artifact thought to have been lost ten years prior, was never actually stolen. It was implanted into her missing right eye by her mother after the attack that killed her parents. This orb absorbs the vast majority of Hizuki's magical energy to serve a greater purpose: containing and sealing the goddess Meldia, who resides within her. Hizuki remains unconscious of her role as a vessel for this divine being, only occasionally hearing strange sounds of apologies in her mind that she cannot understand.

Her role in the story begins as a mysterious, isolated figure who catches the attention of the demon lord Veltol Velvet Velsvalt when he infiltrates her school. Unlike others, Veltol does not mock her for her lack of power or her family’s past, instead showing her genuine kindness and friendship, playfully nicknaming her Hijiki. He becomes a pivotal figure in her life, saving her both physically and emotionally. Through her interactions with Veltol and his group, the truth about her eye, her magic, and the goddess Meldia is revealed. Hizuki is eventually forced by antagonists to become the vessel for the goddess, but she is rescued by Veltol. In a decisive act of defiance against the world that scorned her and the enemies who destroyed her family, she becomes the ruler of Akihabara after assembling the regalia only to publicly abolish the monarchy, insult the citizens, and reject the throne outright. Seeking a new beginning, she transfers to a high school in Shinjuku, fueled by a burning desire for revenge against those who took everything from her and carrying a deep attachment to Veltol for giving her a reason to move forward.
