Aya Yamane

Description
Aya Yamane is a Japanese voice actress and singer affiliated with the agency Aoni Production. She was born on February 4, 1997, in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Yamane is of mixed heritage, with her father being of Japanese-Chinese descent and her mother being Chinese.

Yamane's path to becoming a voice actor was influenced by her childhood experiences. She has shared that she experienced bullying from elementary school through her second year of junior high and found solace in the world of anime. Encouraged by her sister, she developed a strong interest in pursuing voice acting professionally. She graduated from the Amusement Media Academy, a vocational school for entertainment, and began her career in 2015. Her debut in front of the camera was a live-action role in the 2015 film Jinro Game: Crazy Fox, where she played Anna Sumida.

Yamane is known for her versatile and expressive voice, often being cast in lively "gyaru" (gal) style roles, which contrasts with her own calm and composed personal demeanor. Her nickname is Yaya, derived from the repetition of the "ya" sound in her name. Beyond acting, her talents include singing and dancing, which she largely taught herself by watching videos, inspired by anime like The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. She also enjoys cooking, playing the guitar, and has a passion for K-Pop music.
