Hibiki Asami, known to her friends as Kyō-chan, is a recurring side character in the story. She is a high school girl who serves as a close friend and classmate to the protagonist, Hotaru Hinase. The two have been friends since their second year of middle school, having attended the same junior high before moving on to high school together. In their first year of high school, Hibiki and Hotaru shared the same class, but they were placed in different classrooms during their second year.
