TV-Series
Description
Moemi Sōya is a young woman who serves as the chef of Chiyoda Diner and is the heiress of a traditional Japanese restaurant called Sōya Kadan. In the story, she initially works as a waitress at the rival café Family, but her deep culinary background eventually leads her to become the head chef of the reopened Familia diner. She is a third-year university student, making her the oldest among the main group of female staff members. Moemi has a gentle and easygoing personality in her usual state, but she possesses an unusual trait: whenever she puts on a traditional Japanese chef's hat, her demeanor shifts entirely, transforming her into a calm, strict, and highly professional chef. This personality change is so pronounced that it is sometimes triggered by other headgear as well, leading to unexpected character flips due to pranks set up by Valentina Azuma. Her motivations are rooted in her family's legacy in fine dining and her own passion for cooking. She takes her work seriously and strives to maintain high standards in the kitchen. Moemi shares a close friendship with Shiragiku Ono, built on their mutual love for cooking, and the two women also have a playful rivalry that pushes each other to improve. Throughout the series, Moemi develops her own sense of identity beyond her family's name, learning to balance her natural warmth with her strict professionalism. Her notable ability is her exceptional cooking skill, which is recognized by both her peers and customers, making her an indispensable part of the café's operations.
