Description
Mao Takasaki is a supporting character in the anime and manga series The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses. She is a 20-year-old woman who works part-time as a waitress at a restaurant called Chiyoda Diner, also referred to as Café Restaurant Family. Outside of her work at the diner, she is active as a reader model, doing amateur modeling for magazines. She was initially brought in to work at a copycat café that was set up to compete with the main café, Familia. Physically, Mao has long black hair styled with a side part, navy-blue eyes, and an attractive, glamorous figure. Her personality is bold and outspoken; she is often described as having a succubus-like charm and a strong affinity for dirty jokes and gossip. She tends to speak in a casual manner and is known for her sharp tongue, especially while working, where she takes on a sadistic queen-like demeanor. Despite this, she is a hard worker and takes her job seriously. Mao is openly flirtatious with the protagonist, Hayato Kasukabe, which often provokes jealousy from the other girls who work at Familia. Her motivations are tied to her work and her aspirations as a model, and she enjoys the dynamic and social atmosphere of the diner. In the story, Mao serves as a part of the rival establishment's staff, creating tension and contrast with the main group of heroines. Her key relationships are with her coworkers at the diner and with Hayato, whom she targets with her flirtatious advances. Her development is limited compared to the main cast, but she remains a recurring presence who adds humor and a different flavor of antagonism and attraction. Her notable abilities include her skill as a waitress and her capacity to use her looks and personality to engage with customers and those around her. Overall, Mao is a confident, flirty, and industrious young woman who brings a lively and provocative energy to the series.
