Description
Pursena Adoldia is a young woman of the Adoldia tribe, a dog-type beast race that belongs to the larger Doldia tribal family. She has long gray hair, red eyes, a pair of drooping dog ears, and a fluffy tail. She is physically imposing even by beast race standards, and her appearance reflects both her canine heritage and her high-ranking tribal lineage.

She comes from the chieftain bloodline of the Doldia tribe, which is considered royalty among the beast races. Because her elders regarded her as dim-witted and unpromising, she was sent to Ranoa Magic Academy along with her childhood friend Linia Dedorudia, under the expectation that studying there would help her improve herself. She specialized in healing magic during her time at the academy.

In terms of personality, Pursena is abrasive, haughty, and quick to shift blame away from herself when she gets into trouble. She is a notorious glutton who is almost always chewing on dried meat or other food, and when hunger strikes, she has a habit of stealing whatever edible thing is nearby. She speaks with a distinctive verbal tic, ending her sentences with "nano," and she has a crude streak that shows in her frequent use of profanity. Like many beast people, she is very conscious of rank and standing within her group. Her ambitions center on her tribe, as she genuinely wants to become the village chief one day and applies herself seriously toward that goal.

At Ranoa Magic Academy, Pursena and Linia were the two most notorious troublemakers on campus. They led the delinquent students, bullied others, and were feared by both classmates and teachers. Their reign ended when they fought and defeated Zanoba Hohf, then broke the beloved figurine of Roxy that belonged to Rudeus Greyrat. In response, Rudeus subdued and punished them, and after being humiliated and forced to submit, they became his loyal underlings, addressing him as "Boss." Over time, their relationship softened into genuine friendship, and Pursena became a more easygoing and reliable presence among Rudeus's circle at the academy.

Pursena possesses several notable abilities. She is a user of the Voice Magic unique to the Doldia tribe, and she also has advanced healing magic, intermediate detoxification magic, and basic attack magic in all four elemental systems of fire, water, wind, and earth. Her beast race traits grant her high agility, considerable physical strength, and an exceptionally developed sense of smell, making her formidable in close-quarters fights and brawls.

Her later development continues this arc of growth and setbacks. She graduated from the academy at the top of her class and won a duel against Linia, positioning herself to pursue leadership of the Doldia tribe. After returning to her village, she became a warrior chief and quickly earned the trust of her fellow warriors through her healing magic. However, her appetite eventually caused her downfall. After a heavy battle left her exhausted and unable to eat for an entire day, she stole and devoured the village's stored provisions, a serious crime under tribal law. She was imprisoned, lost her chief position, and was only released through the intervention of Rudeus and Linia. She was then assigned to serve as one of the caretakers of the sacred beast Leo and later became the vice-director of the Rudo Mercenary Company.

Her key relationships include Linia Dedorudia, her childhood friend and constant partner in mischief, and Rudeus Greyrat, who transformed from her adversary into her respected leader and friend. Through her later misadventures, she also forms a connection with the sacred beast Leo, taking on responsibility for its care even though her enthusiasm for that duty is limited.
