Description
Tsubasa Kazanari stands 167 cm tall, her blue hair styled in a waist-length left-side ponytail framing indigo eyes. Born May 25, 2025, into the martial-focused Kazanari family, she is biologically the daughter of patriarch Fudo Kazanari and niece to Genjuro Kazanari. Initially torn between her clan’s swordswoman heritage and dreams of pop stardom, her shyness clashed with these ambitions until partnering with bold singer Kanade Amou. Together, they formed Zwei Wing, merging idol performances with covert battles against Noise using Symphogear armor powered by her ancestral relic, Ame-no-Habakiri.

Kanade’s death during a Noise assault shattered Tsubasa, hardening her into a detached soldier who viewed herself as a weapon. She abandoned international music offers, channeling grief into combat while rebuffing connections—even Hibiki Tachibana, who inherited fragments of Kanade’s Gungnir relic. A lethal clash with Chris Yukine, wielder of the Nehushtan Armor, nearly ended her life, triggering a vision of Kanade that reignited her buried empathy. Emerging from this reckoning, she apologized to Hibiki and embraced a mentorship role for newer Symphogear wielders, though her blunt speech and social missteps persisted, alongside habits like cluttered living spaces and misusing household objects.

Trained in Kazanari sword arts, her relic enables techniques such as Heaven’s Wrath—summoning a colossal energy blade—and Soaring Phoenix, a fiery aerial dash. She synchronizes with allies via attacks like S2CA Tri Burst (with Hibiki and Chris) and Swift Union of Wind and Moon (alongside Shirabe Tsukuyomi). Enhanced modes like X-Drive and Ignite Module amplify her speed and destructive output, scaling to cosmic threats like lunar or stellar manipulators.

Alternate timelines, such as the XD Unlimited event BAYONET CHARGE, depict a Tsubasa with cropped hair and a boisterous demeanor, contrasting her primary self’s stoicism. Across conflicts—from Noise waves to clashes with the Bavarian Illuminati and divine entities like Adam—she balances her warrior lineage with rediscovered musical purpose, upholding her family’s guardian ethos while forging bonds once deemed vulnerabilities.
